As I sit and reflect today I realize that I do not normally take the time to sharpen my axe like I ought to. I also realize that when I am dull that I am destroying the wood as well as wearing myself out. I also realized that I took more away from those few days in a conference room with some other great men in youth ministry then I took away from my sophmore through senior years if college. I was filled up, sharpened, and blessed. This week was a bad week to be away from my home, family, and ministry, but I am so glad that I was.
